Online Listings in North County San Diego, from
the Surf Cities of Oceanside, Carlsbad and Encinitas to the Torrey Pines, La Jolla Village & the Sweeping
Vistas of Point Loma. Rural Properties Featured from
Fallbrook & Rancho Santa Fe to Palomar Mountain.
Oceanside has always been more boisterous than it's couterparts to the south because of it's proximity to U.S.M.C Camp
Pendleton. Before you rush in, it's prime coastal property & everybody knows it. (But, there's also some older neighborhoods
just up the hill by the beach...)
Like many North County towns, Carlsbad has at least two sides to it. First is the typical, Southern California beach
town (with million dollar-plus homes.) the other is in the many communities developed up in the hills over the last 25
years. Different, yet the same.
Another classic charming coastal town. with newer development (yes, and Legoland) up in the hills. Encinitas still
has some flower fields left and at least 2 famous surf breaks. Neptune Ave. runs the lentgth of town with seaview homes all
along the bluffs.
San Diego's original, premier seaside resort town. Artsy, ritzy, and beautiful,
La Jolla sits on an exceptional, rocky peninsula next to UCSD, the Scripps Institute and the world class Torrey
Pines golf course. The homes here are some of the finest in San Diego County
The seaside communities of Pacific and Ocean Beach are San Diego's answer to Venice Beach... or at least what Venice
used to be. Located on either side of the inlet to Mission Bay, Pacific beach is alive with the hurly-burly of tourism in
the summer months, while Ocean Beach still exudes the quiet, funky charm of a classic California surf town. Exeptional deals
on homes and small multi-unit properties can still be had here 10 short minutes from downtown San Diego.
Several miles inland from Encinitas and the Pacific Ocean, Rancho Santa Fe is one of the highest income communities in
the U.S.. Centered around a tree-lined, Spanish themed business and retail district and peppered with golf courses, homes
in town are subject to well enforced landscaping and design standards. A small price to pay to live in a truly great town.
Tucked away in the hills north of Escondidio between the 15 Fwy. and Camp Pendleton, Fallbrook is rural town by Southern
California standards. Artists and celebrities tired of the rat race have been setting shop here since Frank Capra bought a
home here in the 1940's. There are also so many avocado farms here that Fallbrook claims the title of 'Avocado Capitol of
the World" and hosts a yearly festival to prove it.
This search covers a very large portion of the inland areas of North County San Diego, from Descanso and Julian
along the Laguna Mountains to Palomar. Properties range from modest cabins and homes to magnificent ranches of hundreds of
acres spreading across the oak and pine studded hills and valleys of this sparsely populated region.
North and east of the Laguna range you'll find the Anza-Borrego Desert. Listings just west of this largest state park
in California include luxurious getaways in Warner Springs and Agua Dulce. Take a look, most of these properties
are not as hot, dry and brown as they look.
